DC Comic characters have been slow with the release of their characters to movies unlike the rapid pace at which Marvel Studios and Disney have been moving. The DC movies have done exceptionally well as in the case of Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy and Zack Snyder's Man of Steel but with the exception of the awful Green Lantern bomb.
Announcements of late have been huge regarding DC comics movies, like the Superman / Batman collaboration movie and the 'big maybe' movie Justice League over the next few years. Another big announcement includes the Flash. Whether it's the Barry Allen Or Wally West Flash, remains to be seen but he is a member of the Justice League and he does have an interesting storyline and quite a pivotal character in the DC Universe.
Now just to figure out who would be cast as The Flash? Bradley Cooper? Ryan Gosling? Well only time will tell.... in the meantime, let's just rejoice that DC are finally taking baby steps towards making more superhero movies.
