REVIEW
Going in to this, I really had no real idea of what the movie was about but what I was met with was truly a brutal blood soaked 90 minute journey of pain!
A young model goes to a modelling shoot but refuses to strip naked. The photographer's brother then appears at her door later with the photos they had taken for the shoot. Unfortunately in his very messed up head, he becomes obsessed with her and while she's sleeping attacks her and rapes her.
After killing a helpful neighbour, he then call his brother for assistance. They drug up the model and she awakes in a dungeon of sorts, where she is again raped, tortured, urinated on and beaten. After all this and an escape attempt which leads her back to her former captives, she's then thrown into a box and buried alive.
The grave, however, dug in the basement of her captives house, proves unstable and the hole caves in and she finds herself in a sewer system. She inadvertently meets up with a priest, who assists her with food and clothes.
The next half of the movie shows her descent into revenge and horrific madness as her mind is twisted by the trauma of events which happened to her. The movie is gory to say the least and definitely not the kind of tale all moviegoers will enjoy. I found myself reminded of Hostel 2, in which the female lead turns the tables on her captives. I'm pretty sure Eli Roth would get a kick out of this movie. Not for the faint-hearted!
PLOT
Katie is trying to make it in the cutthroat world of modelling. When she innocently accepts an offer to have new photos taken for her portfolio, the experience quickly turns into an unthinkable nightmare of rape, torture, and kidnapping. When a twist of fate finally frees her from her captors - beaten, battered, bruised, and broken, she will have to tap into the darkest places of the human psyche to not only survive her ordeal, but to ultimately find the strength to exact her brutal revenge
