The Deadpool movie has got to be one of the most anticipated superhero movies to be announced yet! Thos of us who know our cinematic history will know that Ryan Reynold's portrayed a version of this character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009 and he's been brought back to once again to play Deadpool in his own stand alone movie.
Fingers crossed, let us hope that the good old people at 20th Century Fox use this character to our advantage and give us the Deadpool movie we've all been waiting patiently to see. What Fox has against them is the uncomfortable remake / reboot of Fantastic Four as well as their sad Daredevil movie and the same can really be said for Reynold's take on the Green Lantern which was not memorable in the least.
I have faith though that, these misgivings aside, Deadpool will be something worth watching and judging from the trailers and clips released thus far, we may have the definitive Deadpool cinematic retelling we've all been looking forward to seeing.
Deadpool is directed by Tim Miller and stars Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle / Copycat, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, T.J. Miller as Weasel and Ed Skrein. The scheduled release date is 12 February 2016.
