Neill Blomkamp shot to fame after his Peter Jackson backed District 9 boosted him to stardom as a director and film-maker. Now a short few years later he returns to the big screen with Elysium as both writer and director. He's fellow South African and District 9 star, Sharlto Copley joins him in this space mission together with Matt Damon and Jodie Foster.
I'm guessing if he can bring the same detail and storytelling that he brought with District 9 into Elysium then we really have something worth watching.
PLOT
Set in the year 2154, where the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds.
