NEW MOON ROCKS THE BOX OFFICE!!!

It seems that no matter which way you look at it, whether you're a Team Edward or Team Jacob supporter or you just plain hate the whole Twilight pop culture thing happening in the movie world, NEW MOON is definitely proving to be a force to be reckoned with!

Since its opening this past weekend it has already brought in almost $140 000 000!! That's awesome! Proving again the potential ticket sales of young tweeny movie goers.

The original TWILIGHT movie opened to half of that with only $70.6 million.  The New Moon movie budget, depending on who you hear it from was somewhere in the region of between $50 - $80 million dollars equating to the movie making all its money back in about 2 days! That is wild.

One can only imagine in anticipation, given the performance of New Moon thus far, what the figures for ECLIPSE are going to look like ( the movie is already way into production )
