REVIEW
If you're looking for an Alfred Hitchcock type horror, you going to be mistaken watching this but if you're looking for a movie reminiscent of Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees then this willdefinitely be your forte!Going in to this movie, I had no idea what to expect and smiled with delight as the movie progressed and I realised it was a throwback to the good old 80's horror genre filled with blood, guts and a storyline thinner than the blu-ray you're watching it on.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie just for the pure campiness and perhaps childhood nostalgia. No heavy thinking just a legend of a ghost who haunts the swamps named Victor Crowley, who coincidentally gets reborn no matter how many times he's killed! Victor is a cross between Leatherface due to his deformity and Jason from Friday the 13th, complete with machetes and all kinds of powertools.
Victor is played by Kane Hodder, who has played many a movie monster including Predator and Jason and his skills and experience can definitely be seen. Zach Galligan, who you might remember as the owner of Gizmo in the Gremlins movies, returns to the screen as the town sheriff.An enjoyable movie all round with enough comedy and bloodlust to fill any fan for a long time....
