REVIEW
I am ecstatic when a movie appears which I know little about as is the case with Rapture Palooza. The stars of this comedy include Rob Cordry ( Hot Tub Time Machine & Warm Bodies ) and Craig Robinson ( Zach and Miri Make A Porno & The Office US ). Anyone familiar with their movies will definitely understand and get their humor in this movie. The movie also features Anna Kendrick ( Twilight & Pitch Perfect ) who seems to be building quite the resume of movies lately as well as the always funny John Michael Higgins ( Fired Up, Fun with Dick and Jane ) and Thomas Lennon ( Reno 911 Miami, Balls of Fury ).
The movie tackles the biblical topic of the apocalypse and one actually may have to read up on Revelations to compare the predicted events and get a knowledge of what appears in the movie, however don't let the topic dampen your comedic hunger. The movie is fun and extremely entertaining and is definitely not meant to be taken seriously. Have a look at this one and be prepared for some blasphemy, funny additions ( the swearing crows almost steal the show ) and awesome comedic cameos, such as Ken Jeong ( The Hangover, Community ) as an hilarious God.
The movie drags in parts ( I'm sure due to the heavy biblical / AntiChrist Storyline ) and pushes on the boudaries of the absurd at times but overall prepare yourself for a funny apocalyptic journey by some of the funniest people working in Hollywood today!
