HBO who have been known in the past for bringing excellent programming to our TV screens once again delivers yet another hit with Veep. The recognisable comedic ensemble cast work well together and the scriptwriting provides ample comedic lines and story for the actors to produce excellent work.
The story circles a fictional Vice President of the US played perfectly by Julia Louis-Dreyfus ( Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine ) and her team of misfits / staff and the running of the White House. Actors playing her rag tag team are Anna Chlumsky ( My Girl ), the always funny Tony Hale ( Arrested Development ), Matt Walsh ( The Hangover ) and a well played White House Liaison Jonah, Timothy Simons.
There is not a laugh track in sight and this works to the advantage of the comedy series. The series is well scripted and look for great guest stars including Gary Cole! Veep is already in its second season and I look forward to, hopefully, seeing many more in future.
This is definitely a series not to be missed, It is clever, witty and a great way to spend 20 minutes.
