REVIEW
As an avid horror fan, I really enjoy watching something with relative originality and though Frankenstein's Army utilizes the 'found footage' approach, it was truly enjoyable.

The movie starts off slowly and I found my mind wondering but at about 30 minutes in, with the discovery of German buildings, that the pace really picks up and once it does it relentlessly continues with heavy blood and gore.

Frankenstein's Army is definitely not for the faint-hearted and I found myself feeling slightly nauseas at time. There are patched up monsters mixed with chainsaws and other metallic objects, human limbs and piles of dead bodies everywhere.

Whilst the movie doesn't really cover new grounds in terms of story, it's worth seeing for the detailed creatures alone. I am weary though when watching 'found footage' movies, as new ones seem to pop up every month, but Frankenstein's Army is a nice variation to the genre. Go in with an open mind and enjoy the horror that pursues.

Toward the end of World War II, Russian soldiers pushing into eastern Germany stumble across a secret Nazi lab, one that has unearthed and begun experimenting with the journal of one Dr. Victor Frankenstein. The scientists have used the legendary Frankenstein's work to assemble an army of super-soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades -- a desperate Hitler's last ghastly ploy to escape defeat
