I find a lot of Jason Statham movies to just miss the mark when it comes to A - grade even though a lot of his movies have big star names attached like Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Philippe and others. Statham shines when his part of an ensemble cast and his most memorable roles were in movies like The Italian Job and The Expendables.
So now we have Homefront, based on a novel by Chuck Logan and adapted for screen by none other than Sylvester Stallone. Other cast members include one of my favorites, James Franco with Kate Bosworth and Clancy Brown.
With such a great supporting cast, perhaps this will change my mind on my feelings towards the action star. Lookout for the release during November.
PLOT
A former DEA agent moves his family to a quiet town, where he soon tangles with a local meth druglord.
