REVIEW
I didn't know this movie was based on actual events and wondered somewhere through if I should Google it to find out more. The movie was written by Sofia Coppola, who also served as director, and was inspired by true events. Celebrity victims included Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom and Lindsay Lohan.

Looking beyond the surface, Coppola shows us a snapshot into the lives of youth in America and perhaps the world. We're dragged into a teenage world where you the price of being young is your burden, where you don't take responsibility for your actions. The kids live in a world of social networking, drugs and doing whatever you want and when you want and no consequences.

The cast is comprised of young actors who play their roles almost effortlessly and the script pushes the story on into the twisted world of today's pop culture, revealing the flaws of our current way of life regarding morals, education and family. A disillusioned world filled with celebrity and money worship on an unprecedented level. The movie actually may act as a warning and parents may want to have a peak at the current societal problems we all face.

With a great soundtrack pumping in the background and enough happening to keep you engaged, The Bling Ring is a very interesting movie thus making it worth the watch.
