REVIEW
Here's an extremely interesting recipe for a TV show, take the director of such movies as Live Free or Die Hard / Die Hard 4.0 and Underworld, Len Wiseman, then add Robert Orci & Alex Kurtzman, the writers and producers of movies such as Transformers, The Proposal and both new Star Trek movies. Impressed yet? Well you should be because these people together came up with Sleepy Hollow.
Don't know what or where Sleepy Hollow is? Let me break it down, simply put, you have Ichabod Crane, a school teacher who is chased by a mysterious headless horseman in the little town of Sleepy Hollow. Now you know the legend, as for the TV series, take what I just said and superimpose it onto modern times and that's the basic premise of Sleepy Hollow.
The writers have added a bit of a supernatural twist to the story, like a headless horseman wasn't enough of a clue, and have the 2 main characters 'woken' up hundreds of years after the legend. There's also a Biblical twist changing the original story somewhat whereby the headless horseman is actually one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse thus making him a more sinister, mysterious and evil villain.
Enjoyable, fun and entertaining enough for the viewer, like me, to come back for more. There's a scene where John Cho looks into a mirror and sees something truly demonic and scary and if that doesn't peak your interest, I don't know what will.
