Marvel has finally confirmed who will be cast in the title role of director Edgar Wright's Ant-Man. Paul Rudd is officially Ant-Man! Paul Rudd of course needs no introduction with movies like Ron Burgundy, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Wanderlust and so many more. The combination of Paul Rudd and Edgar Wright may prove to be an amazing one as both have more than proven themselves in the world of cinema.
Marvel's Kevin Fiege had this to say, “When Edgar Wright came to us with the idea of Paul Rudd, we felt a huge sense of relief because the first step in creating any Marvel Studios film is finding the right star. We knew early on that we had found the right person in Paul. When he not only agreed to do it but became as enthusiastic as any actor we’d ever met with about doing the work, we knew we’d found the right guy. We couldn’t be more excited for our audiences to see what he’s going to do to bring Ant-Man to life.”
Edgar Wright's other movies in the directors seat speak for themselves with such funny and wonderful movies like Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, At World's End and Shaun of the Dead. I have faith that this endeavour will only be a huge success but as usual only time will tell.
