DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2014) ... Get READY for an Ape Apocalypse!

 

  In 2011, we got the brilliant prequel Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The movie starred the charismatic James Franco and finally provided moviegoers with a storyline of how the apes rose to power in the Planet of the Apes. Now nearly 3 years later we get a sequel that will continue to quench our thirst for one of the classic cult sci-fi movies of the 20th century by showing us more of how the apes rose to power to take over our world.     The new movie is directed by Matt Reeves ( Cloverfield (2008) and Let Me in (2010) ) and stars brilliant actor Gary Oldman and Keri Russell amonst others. Look for a mid year worldwide release around July / August 2014.    

PLOT

 A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
