Disney are pushing their Marvel properties further into TV land with a very widespread gang of characters right out of their comics. These heroes include Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. Disney is reportedly spending over $200 million over a period of 2 years to give each 15 episode series a life of their own.

With superheroes and comic book characters being the 'hot' property these days having invaded us through cinema, video games and television, now would be the perfect time for Marvel to add to their many achievements by bringing more heroes to life.

It seems the superhero culture is here to stay having been firmly rooted in every way you can imagine. With successful TV shows like Arrow and Marvel's Agent of Shield proving to be popular, guess it was only a matter of time till TV started overflowing with these famous characters.

Now before we get to see these heroes on our TV screens, let's have a quick look at who they are...

His father, a boxer named Jack Murdock, supports him as he grows up, though Jack is later killed by gangsters after refusing to throw a fight. After donning a yellow and dark red, and later an all dark red costume, Matt seeks out revenge against his father's killers as the superhero Daredevil, fighting against his many enemies including Bullseye and the Kingpin. Daredevil's nickname is "the Man Without Fear".

  • BIO
A streetwise youth, the man called "Lucas" was sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. In exchange for parole, Lucas clandestinely underwent an experimental procedure, originally intended to generate immunity to all illness; instead, it inadvertently granted him steel-hard skin and heavier, enhanced muscle. After escaping Seagate Prison, he forged the identity of "Luke Cage" becoming a "hero for hire," a sort of super-enhanced private detective—although Cage commonly refused money, or simply received none, for cases gone awry (a fair portion, for the unlucky Cage). Later, he formed a business partnership with the martial arts hero known as Iron Fist in the series Power Man & Iron Fist

ALTER EGO - Jessica Campbell Jones Cage

    ABILITIES
    Flight

    BIO
Jessica was riding in a car with her family when they collided with a military convoy carrying radioactive chemicals. Her family was killed and, after spending several months in a coma, she awoke stirred by the first coming of Galactus outside her hospital room. She was placed in an orphanage and adopted by the Jones family.
Jessica later discovered that her radiation exposure granted her super strength, limited invulnerability, and flight (which she never fully mastered during her superhero career). The Joneses re-enrolled Jessica at Midtown High, where she was ostracized by her classmates, especially Flash Thompson. Peter Parker (who had since become Spider-Man) sensed in Jessica a kindred spirit — someone who had also lost family due to a tragic circumstance. Jessica mistook his kind attention and lashed out at him, believing he was merely pitying her.
She later witnessed a fight between Spider-Man and the villain Sandman in her own class. This inspired her, in a way she cannot put into words, to use her abilities in a positive light.
