A star studded cast with Michael Shannon in the lead role and a story filled with supernatural / science fiction elements sounds like something extremely intriguing and perhaps the right mix of drama and thriller to take on the onslaught of superhero movies we've seen so much of lately. Director Jeff Nichols is noted as saying he was influenced by movies like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., and Starman when he wrote and directed the movie so we can expect a Spielberg-esque style of movie.
Shannon is joined by Adam Driver, Joel Edgerton, Kirsten Dunst and Sam Sheppard and has a release date set for March 2016.
