STORY: A young man is lured into fighting for money by a local street hustler for cash. The stakes get higher and higher as the fight continue till he meets and old foe, who poses a threat to him both in the fighting arena and in his personal life. Along the way the lead character meets a beautiful waitron who eventually becomes our hero's love interest. REVIEW: The is definitely not Academy Award material but there is a nice backstory which gives our lead character, Channing Tatum ( Step Up, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra ) a bit of depth. Terence Howard ( Crash, Iron Man ) plays the small time hustler who leads us into the world of fighting and sleazy businessmen. I actually found a nice innocence to Channing Tatum's performance that kind of reminds one of Sylvester Stallone in the original Rocky movie. It's entertaining , interesting and worth the watch especially considering the genre.
SCORE: A hard 6 popcorn out 10 punch!!
