STORY:

Two young people, Micah ( Micah Sloat ) and Katie ( Katie Featherston ) move in together into a suburban home.

Katie has apparently been haunted by something from the age of eight. Micah believes he can ultimately rid Katie of this curse and uses his camera to document their terrifying journey into the paranormal.

It's once a psychic is invited into their home that we soon realise that a demonic entity is actually haunting Katie.

Micah's stubborness and refusal to listen to warnings leads the two down a disturbing path of attacks which worsen and worsen over a period of 20 something days......

REVIEW

Once in a while there comes a movie that has the ability to freak the living crap out of you and this one achieves it on so many levels!

The mere fact that the film could've been filmed in my home or your home and the psychological terror of what little we actually understand of the paranormal, make for an uneasy journey of what goes bump in the night.

Perhaps a dormant fear of what could inhabit the dark when the lights are off remind us of stories which scared and terrified us as kids and the memory of what monsters could really be lurking under your bed....

For a budget of roughly $11000 and shooting which only lasted for approxiamately 7 days, this movie proves to be quite an achievement for the unknown leads and their director.

Bravo to Hollywood for bringing something which is not like the unlimited supply of Saw movies, Final Destinations and all the other mainstream crap that seems to be contaminating our screens. This movie will definitely make you think twice about switching the light off when you go to bed! I truly would reccommend this to any horror movie buff who claims to be worth his weight and definitely not for the fainthearted....
