Of course there would be a sequel! The original Avatar movie is the biggest movie ever having made over $ 2.8 billion! With that sort of figures, wouldn't it make sense to have a sequel made? I'm sure many a fan would argue that one movie was enough to convey the environmental message brought across or that the story was complete.... well to those fans I say, you are dead wrong, the story continues!
According to a report at TheWrap James Cameron, legendary director and producer, has now enlisted a new writer to work on the screenplay for Avatar 2, namely Josh Friedman. Friedman coincidentally worked on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which can't be a bad thing considering Cameron created the Terminator.
Now consider these facts also, in 2009, James Cameron was quoted as saying that he planned two sequels to Avatar and rumour has it that at least one instalment may take place in a beautiful underwater world! We know that Cameron is a master at his craft and I'm sure fans across the world can't wait to see what new alien creations will populate these worlds not to mention the world class story that will unfold.
Zoe Saldahna and Sam Worthington are set to return for the sequel ans thus far it has been slated for a 2015 release. We're all anxious to see what you're gonna do Mr Cameron.....
