According to Variety, The Terminator is back! All this starts with Thor: The Dark World (2013) director, Alan Taylor, being offered the job to helm the project. As we all know a Terminator movie is not complete without the appearance of the original Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, in one form or another but his involvement here has not as yet been confirmed.
Rumours are abound that this may be a trilogy, but with all remakes thus far, it's purely dependant on the success of the new franchise starter. The movie is also said to be a retelling of the original story as opposed to a continuation of McG's Terminator Salvation.
The question however is, whilst sci-fi fans would love to see another quality Terminator movie, how would this fare amongst cinemagoers, since the truly successful Terminator stories were told by their creator, James Cameron, himself.
Will we ever see if the humans conquer Skynet? Will John Connor eventually defeat the robotic menace? Hopefully all these question will be answered. Look for Terminator 5, coming to a theatre near you around June 2015.
