OPEN VIEW HD: South Africa's Newest Satellite TV Network, Channel and Decoder Details....

    A few weeks ago we completed a post on South Africa's newest free-to-air network OpenView HD, since then more details have been released. OpenView HD comes to us courtesy of Platco Digital, A division of E-TV. The new network will be launched Tuesday 15 October 2013 and will consist of 16 channels. The 16 channels fall under four categories namely:

”. The product will be available through a wide range of retail outlets and through satellite installers.
The Platco Digital platform uses the same SES-5 satellite as On Digital Media’s TopTV, which means consumers with TopTV dishes will be able to receive the service, DSTV subcribers however will have to pay for a new dish. The service is free-to-air meaning that there will be no monthly cost.
