It's been several days since Edgar Wright left this project and since various names have been doing the rounds in an attempt by Marvel to fill the vacant directors chair. Wright apparently left the movie due to creative differences he had with the studio. Now finally after a tense few days a new director has gotten the nod from Marvel to continue with Ant-Man, he is none other than Peyton Reed.
Reed has directed such movies as Jim Carrey's Yes Man, the Vince Vaughn / Jennifer Anniston romp, The Break-Up and 2000's Bring It On so hopefully his experience will inject a new enthusiasm into the Ant-Man movie which already has Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas attached to it.
And here's the latest on the Ant-Man synopsis....
PLOT
"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."
