Green Lantern: First Flight (2009)

STORY: A hero's origin. We meet Hal Jordan a test pilot who gets handed a ring from a dying alien. Donning the ring, he transforms into a Green Lantern, a protector of the universe. Soon after, he is met by more Green Lantern, who take him to meet the Guardians for assessment. The Guardians reluctantly let Hal keep the ring but under the watchful eye of Sinestro.
Quickly a plot is uncovered, opne in which involves overthrowing the Guardians' rule and using a yellow element to distinguish the green light within the Green Lantern battery.

REVIEW:
A masterpiece fusing an excellent storyline with slick animation. The animation is a blend of computer graphics and normal animation adding a nice finishing touch to the movie. I knew of the Green Lantern but this movie really put the hero into perspective. Voices included are John Larroquette ( Boston Legal ), Larry Drake ( Darkman, LA Law ) and Olivia D'abo ( The Wonder Years ). Not only did I enjoy this but I would say it's one of the better animated movies I've seen in a long time!

Marvel better watch out cos DC are pulling up their socks, big time!
